Hana Firestone is a freelance illustrator and designer. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Maine College of Art in Portland, Maine. She is greatly inspired by nostalgic memories of childhood books and enjoys collecting greenery from the beautiful outdoors of Maine. Her work also explores pattern making and often consists of pastel colors with quirky line work and sometimes cut paper. When Hana is not drawing she is browsing art galleries, working at her local hospital, enjoying a cup of coffee and spending time with her 8 birds and family!
My inspiration comes mostly from nature, birds, and love for color. I enjoy mixing medias and using a colorful palette. My love for birds started years ago and that is one of my favorite animals to create. I wrote and illustrated my first children's book "Budgie Brothers in New York," in 2021 and am now working on the sequel "Budgie Brothers in Maine," which I hope to complete in 2026.
